It doesn’t get much better than Eddy Grant’s Electric Avenue.
Sophomore year of college. 314 Mason Hall. My two best friends in the world are there, bobbing their heads to this Room Of Pi theme song. Emily (ESG) and I waking up to the blast of this song every morning for nearly a semester.
A close second is “Stacey’s Mom” by Fountains of Wayne. ESG and I serenaded Wad with this song frequently, always changing the words for her. “Emma Wad, has got it going on….”
Or during the summers, in ESG’s faithful oldsmobile, speeding down the highway with the windows down singing “Dancing Queen” by ABBA.
