Yosemite National Park

“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.” – John Muir

The middle of a horrible draught and terrible wildfires isn’t necessarily the best time to go to Yosemite, but we still had an incredible time exploring this stunning national park.

We camped one night in Tuolumne Meadows, one night in Wawona campground, and two nights in Yosemite Valley at Upper Pines campground. Here are photos from our four days and nights camping, hiking, and exploring Yosemite. We watched the sunset at Glacier Point, walked among the giant sequoias in Mariposa Grove, met a really fat, awesome squirrel that we named Cedric who lived in a little hole in our campsite at Upper Pines, hiked the Mist Trail and John Muir trails to Vernal and Nevada falls, and enjoyed beautiful weather and sunshine under the pines.
